MAPLE SPICE COOKIES 
1 c. seedless raisins
Hot water
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. light molasses
1 c. crushed maple sugar
2 eggs, beaten
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. salt

Cover raisins with hot water and let stand a few minutes to plump up.

Meanwhile add the soda to the sour cream, then the molasses and maple sugar. Add the beaten eggs. Sift the flour with the spices and salt and add to the previous mixture. Drain the raisins well and add. Drop from teaspoon on a greased cookie sheet and bake in oven at 400 degrees F. for about 15 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen.
