SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
3/4 c. milk
3 tbsp. chopped onion
4 tbsp. butter
1 lb. beef
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 c. flour
1 c. stock or cream

Soak bread crumbs in milk. Saute onion in 2 tablespoons of butter. Add to bread crumbs. Add beef, seasonings and egg. Form meat into balls; roll in flour, saute in flour about 10 minutes. Add stock to cream; cover, simmer 5 minutes. Thicken gravy.
