ALMOND BARS 
2/3 c. corn syrup
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 tsp. almond extract
6 c. Kellogg's Special K cereal
1/4 c. chopped almonds

Measure corn syrup and sugar into a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved and mixture bubbles. Remove from heat. Stir in almond extract. Add Special K cereal and almonds. Stir until well coated.

With back of a spoon, press mixture evenly and firmly into buttered 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Let stand until cool. Cut into 1 1/2 x 3 inch bars. Yield 24 bars. 1 bar = 70 calories.
