1 German Chocolate cake mix 1 bag caramels (about 50) 1 can evaporated milk 3/4 c. butter, melted 6 oz. bag chocolate chips Melt caramels in 1/3 c. evaporated milk. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix cake mix with 3/4 c. melted butter and 1/3 c. evaporated milk. Take 1/2 the cake mix and spread in the bottom of a greased 9 x13-inch cake pan. Bake for 6 minutes. Then put 6 oz. chocolate chips over that. Put melted caramels over chocolate chips. Take other half of cake mix and put on top. You may have to flatten with hand to lay cake mix on top. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Cool 1 hour. |
