CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 c. Crisco
2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1/2 c. cocoa
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream Crisco, butter, and sugar. Sift flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder. Beat eggs, one at a time, into creamy mixture. Add sifted ingredients and milk, a little at a time. Beat together. Add vanilla and almond. Pour into well greased and floured tube pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
