CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 lg. eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 c. sour cream (can use low-fat)
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
Bundt pan or large ring mold

Grease pan. Heat oven to 350 degrees.

In large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar and vanilla on high speed until pale and fluffy. Scrape down bowl. Beat in eggs, one at a time, scraping down bowl after each. Stop mixer.

Add cocoa powder, sour cream, baking powder and salt. Mix in at low speed, until well blended. Scrape down sides of bowl. Add flour and mix at low speed only until blended.

Spread dough in pan. Bake about 1 hour. Test for doneness. Cool for 30 minutes. Loosen edges and invert on serving plate. Dust with powdered sugar or frost with a thin chocolate glaze.
