CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1 c. shortening
2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 c. milk

Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Mix until well blended. Beat in eggs; add flour with all dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla.

Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 300°F for 1 1/2 hours. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
