This is very easy. I like cherry but apple is good too! 1 can apple or cherry pie filling (Comstock) 1 can crushed pineapple with juice (Dole) 1 pkg. cake mix (I use yellow) 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) coconut flakes, if desired Spread cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple over bottom of 9x13x2-inch pan. Sprinkle dry cake mix over pie filling and pineapple. Do not mix! Drizzle melted butter over top. Top with nuts and coconut flakes, if desired.
