SWEET & SOUR SAUCE 
1 chicken bouillon cube or 1 tsp. instant chicken bouillon
1/2 c. boiling water
1 green pepper, sliced
1 c. pineapple chunks
1/2 c. maraschino cherries
1 sm. onion, peeled

Dissolve the bouillon in a pan of boiling water then add remaining ingredients. Boil under medium heat until green pepper is soft.

Mix well 2 tablespoons cornstarch and 1/2 cup sugar. Add 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1/8 cup vinegar and 3/4 cup of pineapple juice from the chunks. Pour into deep pan together with the chicken bouillon mixture and stir until boiling. Add the red food coloring if desired. Before serving, take out the small onion (the onion is used for flavor only).
