SWEET & SOUR SAUCE 
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. pineapple juice, unsweetened
1 tbsp. catsup
1/2 c. water

Combine above ingredients, stir over low heat to dissolve. Add 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Mix together: 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1/4 cup cooking sherry. Add to the above mixture, bring to a slow boil until thick. To give it a better color, I use a few drops of red food coloring.
