FAST CORNBREAD 
1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt, or less
1/2 tsp. onion or garlic powder
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 1/8 c. milk
1/4 c. vegetable oil, or less

Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Mix egg and liquid ingredients in small bowl and beat a little. Add liquids to dry ingredients. Heat skillet, just lightly oiled.

Pour small circles onto hot frying pan, about 3 inches. Brown, then turn and cook until browned on other side and serve.
