FANNIE MAE MINT CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (16 oz.) Hershey's syrup
1 c. plus 1 tbsp. flour

Cream sugar and butter until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla, and Hershey's syrup and flour. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees in 13 x 9 inch pan. Do not grease pan. Allow cake to cool before frosting.

TOPPING I:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. peppermint extract
Green food coloring

Beat all until smooth. Spread on cooled cake and refrigerate.

TOPPING II:

1 c. chocolate chips
6 tbsp. butter

In small saucepan (or microwave); melt until smooth. Let cool a little. Smooth over cake. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
