GLORIFIED RICE 
1 c. rice
1 can pineapple tidbits
1 carton Cool Whip
Miniature marshmallows
1 tbsp. cornstarch
Butter
Sugar to taste
Maraschino cherries

Cook rice in boiling water with a dash of salt. Turn into colander and rinse with cold water to separate grains. Put in mixing bowl and add pineapple and 4 cups marshmallows. Take juice of pineapple, add a little water and butter and 1 tablespoon cornstarch and sugar to taste. Cook until thick. Cool then add to other mixture, then fold in Cool Whip. May add maraschino cherries.
