GRANDMA'S OATMEAL COOKIE 
2 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
7 c. quick-cooking oats
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 (1.5 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
2 tsp. baking soda

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the oats, flour, dry pudding mix and the baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls 2-inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheets.

Bake at 375°F for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Yield: 7 dozen.
