FRUIT CAKE 
5 lg. eggs
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 3/4 lbs. glace cherries, (red and green halved)
4 c. shelled pecans, chopped
1/2 oz. vanilla flavoring
1/2 oz. lemon flavoring

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add well beaten eggs. Blend well. Mix 3/4 cup of flour with fruit and nuts until well coated. Sift remaining flour with baking powder. Fold into egg/butter mixture, add flavorings. Mix well; add fruit and nuts; mix well. Pour into greased, wax paper lined tube pan. Put in cold oven. Bake at 250 degrees for 3 hours.
