RUSSIAN CREAM 
1 c. thick sour cream
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sweet cream
1 tbsp. plain unflavored gelatin
1/2 c. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla

Soak gelatin in cold water. Scald sweet cream with sugar. Add soaked gelatin in hot cream mixture stirring until all dissolved.

When this mixture is cool, add sour cream and beat until smooth.

Pour into molds which have been rinsed with cold water. Chill until firm. Unmold and serve topped with strawberry preserves.
