CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
5 sm. sweet potatoes
1 c. white sugar
1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. water
Cinnamon

Peel, slice and layer raw potatoes in casserole dish. Sprinkle sugar over top; dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon. Add water around edges of casserole so as not to wash off sugar. Cook, uncovered, at 400 degrees for about an hour. Pile potatoes in because they shrink.
