CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
6 med. sweet potatoes
2 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon

Cook potatoes in boiling water until fork tender. Drain; cool and remove skins. Slice lengthwise or crosswise and place slices in baking dish.

Combine brown sugar, butter, water, salt and cinnamon in saucepan. Bring to a boil; lower heat and simmer 2-3 minutes. Pour syrup over sliced potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Baste several times during baking. Serves 12.
