4 c. diced apples
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 c. Crisco oil
2 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla

1. Mix apples and sugar together, let stand for 1 hour.

2. Sift flour, soda and spices.

3. Beat eggs; add oil. Add apple mixture to eggs and oil and vanilla. Combine flour mixture with apples, eggs, etc. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Bake in floured angel food pan for 60 minutes at 350 degrees.
