TEA CAKES 
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. baking powder
Plain flour

Cream butter and sugar. Blend in egg and milk. Add baking powder. Work in enough plain flour until dough is stiff. Add vanilla or lemon flavoring. Make into small balls. Pat out with fork on cookie sheets. Bake in a moderate 350 degree oven until lightly brown. If you would like you can add 1 cup chopped pecans to dough.
