PECAN PIE (NOT OVERLY SWEET) 
1/2 c. white sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 c. pecan halves

Cream sugar and butter; add syrup, vanilla and salt. Beat well. Beat in eggs one at a time; add pecans. Put in 9 inch pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, 10 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Pecans should be refrigerated or frozen to keep their freshness.
