CHICKEN CASSEROLE SUPREME | |
6 chicken breasts, quartered 1 pkg. frozen green beans and almonds 1 c. cheddar cheese 1 can condensed cream of chicken or cheddar cheese soup (undiluted) 1/2 can chicken broth 1 sm. onion, cut up 3 stalks of celery 1/2 c. butter, melted 1 sm. can mushrooms 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. milk Make early in day or 2 hours before serving time. Bake chicken breasts in foil for 1 hour at 350 degrees. After chicken has cooled, break it into medium pieces. Mix flour, salt, pepper, milk, and stir carefully, then put chicken into the mixture and stir again. Next, brown chicken in this mixture. Then combine with the beans and almonds, celery, pimento and onion. Add soup and stir thoroughly. Last, cut up the cheese and spread over the top of the mixture. Bake for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees. |
