CHICKEN CASSEROLE 
1 frying chicken, cut up
1 bay leaf
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 tsp. salt
8 peppercorns
1/2 tsp. powdered ginger
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
12 sm. white onions
4 carrots, quartered
4 stalks celery in 1 inch lengths

Arrange chicken in 2 1/2 quart casserole. Add seasonings and tomato sauce. Cover. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Add vegetables. Continue baking covered 1/2 hour. Remove cover and bake 1/2 hour more or until vegetables are tender.
