CHICKEN AND RICE CASSEROLE | |
2 fryers (chicken cut in quarters) 3 c. rice (washed) 3 cans onion soup 6 cans golden mushroom soup 1 stick butter Salt (to taste) Black pepper (to taste) This may be made in a deep casserole dish or pan. I like mine made in a shallow long baking dish or pan. Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste. In casserole dish add washed rice. Mix soups in mixing bowl until smooth, stir it into pan with rice. Add salt and pepper if desired. Spread all over pan. Lay chicken part on top of the rice mixture. Dot chicken parts with butter. Bake in 350 degree oven until chicken is brown and rice is as firm as you desire. Delicious. |
