RED CLAM SAUCE FOR PASTA 
1 can minced clams
3 tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves garlic
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 lg. can chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp. tomato paste
1 c. red wine
2 tbsp. pesto sauce (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste

Saute garlic in oil. Add all other ingredients and simmer for at least 1/2 hour. The pesto is optional, but really adds a special flavor to the sauce. Serves 2.
