CREAMY ORANGE PINEAPPLE SALAD 
1 lg. carton (24 oz.) sm. curd cottage cheese
1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange Jello, dry
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, well drained
1 (12 oz.) carton Cool Whip
1 (15 1/4 oz.) can pineapple tidbits, well drained
1/2 c. broken pecans (opt.)

Blend cottage cheese and Cool Whip very well. Add dry Jello and blend thoroughly. Add pineapple and oranges and mix to blend. Pecans can be added last. Chill thoroughly before serving.
