IRISH-AMERICAN MILLERS STEW | |
This is a "cheat" recipe, as my mum and my Gran used everything fresh, cans are frowned upon! 1 can corned beef 1 can yellow corn 1 can stewed tomatoes 1 can tomato sauce Worcestershire sauce salt and pepper, to taste In a large pot, combine all ingredients. stir vigorously, and break up corned beef. Do not drain corn. Add 2 or 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce. Bring to boil, stirring to prevent sticking to pot and burning. This recipe takes about 30 minutes to make, but it is really good, a favorite at our house. Serve with a dark rye style bread. Generally Irish Soda Bread is served as a dessert. Submitted by: K.
