SHERRY'S AMERICAN CHOP SUEY | |
1 large sweet onion, chopped 1 red bell pepper, chopped 1 green bell pepper, chopped 1 tbsp. minced garlic 1 (28 oz can) crushed tomatoes 1 lb ground turkey breast 1 lb turkey sausage (hot or sweet) salt and pepper, to taste Hot sauce to taste 2 cups elbow macaroni pasta, cooked Spray a large skillet with cooking spray. Put skillet over medium heat. Add onions, peppers, and garlic. Cut sausages into 1/2-inch pieces or disks, add to pan. Stir constantly. When sausage is almost fully cooked, add ground turkey breast. Cook until browned and onions are soft. Transfer all ingredients to large pot. Add tomatoes. Simmer on low-heat. Cook pasta as directed, drain. Add pasta to pot, simmer on low for 1/2 an hour.
