SKILLET CAKE 
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. vinegar
6 tbsp. butter, melted
1 c. cold water

Grease iron skillet; preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift together into skillet the first 5 ingredients. With spoon make 3 holes in mixture, pour vanilla in one hole, vinegar in another and melted butter in last hole. Pour water over all. Stir until blended. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes.

ICING:

6 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed firmly
4 tbsp. cream
1 c. chopped nuts or coconut

Combine first 3 ingredients in bowl. Stir in nuts or coconut. Pour over cake. Place under broiler for 5 minutes.
