APPLES AND CHEESE 
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
7 med. tart apples
3 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Combine sugar, salt and flour. Cut in butter until crumbly. Mix in cheese. Toss together apples, water and lemon juice. Put in 8 inch square baking dish. Cook 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and sprinkle topping over apples. Pat gently. Return to oven for an additional 30 minutes.
