GINGER LACE COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda

Cream shortening. Add sugar; add egg; add dry ingredients. Chill. Shape into balls size of marble. Roll in granulated sugar. Place on baking sheet (do not press down). Bake 12 minutes in 375 degree oven.
