BROCCOLI AND CHEESE STRATA 
2 tbsp. butter
2 sm. onions, sliced
8 slices bread, cut in half diagonally
2 1/4 c. shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli spears, thawed & drained
8 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. dried mustard
Greased 7"x11" dish

Cook onions in butter 8 to 10 minutes or until golden. Cool slightly. Line baking dish with half of the bread. Top with 1 1/2 cups of the cheese and half of the onions. Cover with the remaining bread. Arrange broccoli and remaining onions. In a large bowl, mix eggs and milk and seasonings, pour evenly in baking dish. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
