ROAST BARBECUE | |
3 lb. chuck roast 2 TBSP. shortening 1 lg. chopped onion 2 tbsp. vinegar 2 tbsp. lemon juice 3/4 c. water 2 c. catsup 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tbsp. prepared mustard 2 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Trim meat and brown in shortening. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil on top of stove. Put in a roaster and bake covered at 325 degrees for 4 to 5 hours. As soon as meat is tender, use 2 forks and shred meat. |
