BAKED STEW 
2 lbs. beef sirloin tips, cut in bite sized pieces
2 c. sliced onions
2 c. quartered potatoes
2 c. chunked fresh carrots
2 c. chopped celery
1 tsp. sugar
1 can mushroom soup
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3-5 tbsp. flour
3 c. V-8 juice

Place ingredients (in order given) in a roaster with a fitting lid. Bake in oven at 250 degrees for 5 hours. No browning is necessary. When done the gravy will be brown and thick. Serve with rice or noodles. Serves approximately 12 people.
