1/2 c. sugar 3-4 tbsp. cocoa 4 tsp. flour, rounded 4 c. milk Stir ingredients. Add one cup milk to dissolve. Add rest on stove or in microwave. Butter can be added. Sugar may go to 1 cup. My grandmother made this for us when I was a child and she also made this for my daughters. It is a dish that always brings her to mind, in the kitchen, over the stove, stirring up good and country-style eats. | |

This is the exact recipe my mother made for us (full cup of sugar, no vanilla). Mom added a pinch of salt, but othrwise the same. I now make this for my boys and their children. Most recipes I find on line are actually chocolate pie filling with their addition of eggs, vanilla and butter. I would be interested in knowing where your grandmother was from? We live in Western KY (Bowling Green area)
