SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. green pepper
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. basil
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 bay leaf
1 sm. can tomato pate (6 oz.)
1 sm. can white wine
2 lg. (16 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 can mushrooms

Saute first 5 ingredients. Add 1/2 can wine. Add the rest. Simmer 3 hours. Add last 1/2 can wine before serving over spaghetti. White vermouth excellente.
