MOM'S BEEF STROGANOFF 
1/4 c. minced onions
1/2 c. butter
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 lb. beef, round steak cut in 1/2 inch strips
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of ground pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tbsp. tomato paste
1/2 c. consomme or beef bouillon
1/2 c. dry white wine
1/2 c. sour cream
3 tbsp. sherry

Saute onions, add mushrooms, cover for 5 minutes, remove. Brown meat in same pan and blend in flour. Add seasonings, onions, mushrooms, tomato paste, consomme, and wine. Simmer for 1 hour. Just before serving stir in sour cream. Serve with egg noodles. Makes about 4 servings.
