CRISCO SUGAR COOKIES 
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. lemon or vanilla extract
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. milk

Blend Crisco, sugar, egg and extract. Add combined dry ingredients alternately with milk. Chill 1 hour.

You may roll and cut in shapes or may drop off spoon. Can also be made into a roll and sliced. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 400 degrees 7 to 10 minutes. Makes about 9 dozen thin cookies.

This is a simple recipe that creates a soft sugar cookie. I like how quickly I could put these together. I did not refrigerate the dough and rolled it into 1-2 inch balls then rolled in sugar. I like how this dough can be used for rolled or drop cookies. Thanks for sharing :)

Wonderful sugar cookies when you don't want to use butter! Made for a Lactose intolerant friend and used Almond milk instead of regular milk - they're soft and fluffy and delicious! However do NOT bake at 400°F -- no cookie should ever be bake that high. I baked @ 350°F for 9-10 minutes and they were perfect !
