BUTTER POUND CAKE 
3 c. flour
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. butter (softened)
6 eggs, room temperature
1 c. sour cream
1/2 oz. flavor (vanilla, butter, tsp. lemon)

Preheat oven at 325 degrees. Sift flour, baking soda and salt until blended. Grease and generously flour a tube cake pan, set aside. Beat butter and sugar until well blended. Add eggs one at a time (beat 5 minutes). Add sour cream and flour mixture (alternating) beat until well blended. Pour into baking pan and place into the oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
