COLE SLAW FOR FREEZING | |
1 med. cabbage, shredded 1 carrot, grated 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. water 1 tsp. celery seed 1 green pepper, chopped 1 c. vinegar 1 tsp. whole mustard seed 2 c. sugar Mix salt into cabbage, let stand 1 hour. Squeeze out excess moisture. Add carrots and peppers. While this is standing mix other ingredients and boil 1 minute. Cool to lukewarm. Pour over slaw. Put into containers and freeze. Thaws in a few minutes for serving. Can be refrozen. |
