BETTY'S COCONUT CAKE 
1 box Duncan Hines cake mix (yellow or white) using
1 whole egg and
3 egg yolks

Bake in tube pan; cool and slice crosswise.

ICING:

3 egg whites, beaten until stiff
24 miniature marshmallows, added to egg white mixture; beat well
1 3/4 c. sugar in 1/2 c. water

Cook sugar in water until it forms a soft ball in cold water. Remove from heat and add syrup to egg white mixture; beat well. Cool and spread over first layer of cake; sprinkle coconut over top. Add second layer; ice with icing and spread coconut over the top. Be sure and ice the sides.
