SWEET AND SAVORY MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 sm. clove garlic, chopped
1 slightly beaten egg
1 tbsp. shortening
1 can Campbell's Golden mushroom soup
2 tsp. soy sauce
Dash pepper
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. drained canned tomatoes
Cooked rice or potatoes

Mix together the ground beef, crumbs, onion, garlic and egg. Shape into approximately 16 meatballs. In skillet brown meatballs in shortening. Pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients except rice or potatoes. Cover and cook over low heat about 20 minutes or until done. Serve over rice or potatoes. Serves 4-5.
