CHERRY SOUP 
1 qt. ripe sour cherries, wash
Add 4 c. cold water or more
1/2 c. sugar
1 stick cinnamon

Cook until cherries come to top of water or done. Add dumplings made with flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder and a little salt. Mix together. Drop in hot mixture. Cook until done. Cool. Better later cold.
