CABBAGE SOUP WITH MEATBALLS 
1 sm. head cabbage, (about 2 lbs.)
5 sm. carrots, cut into sm. pieces
2 potatoes, cut into sm. pieces
1 lb. can tomatoes, chopped into pieces (undrained)
3 stalks celery, cut into pieces
1 lb. chopped beef
1 med. onion, grated
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
4 c. boiling water

Put the shredded cabbage into boiling water. Add carrots, celery and tomatoes. Cook over medium heat for 1/2 hour.

Prepare meatballs: Mix beef, salt, pepper, and grated onion. Shape into small round balls and place on top of the cabbage and other ingredients and cook for 1/2 hour.
