ALMA'S BANANA BREAD 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. mashed bananas (3 to 4 med. bananas)
1/3 c. water
1 2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the bottom of a loaf pan. Mix sugar and butter in a bowl. Stir in eggs until blended. Add bananas and water. Beat 30 seconds. Stir in remaining ingredients until well blended. Pour into pan. Bake until a wooden toothpick, when inserted, comes out clean. For an 8 inch pan, bake for 1 1/4 hours. For a 9 inch pan, bake for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes. Loosen sides of loaf from pan. Cool completely before slicing. Makes one loaf bread (24 slices).
