MACARONI CASSEROLE ITALIANO 
1 env. spaghetti sauce mix with mushrooms
1 can tomato paste
1/2 lb. hot Italian sausage (parboiled 4 min. & sliced)
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 med. green pepper, chopped
Salt
3 qt. boiling water
7 oz. shell macaroni (about 2 c.)
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Blend sauce mix, tomato paste and 3 cans water in saucepan. In skillet, brown sausage and add to sauce. Brown beef with onion and green pepper and 1/2 teaspoon salt; stirring frequently. Stir into sauce mix and bring to boil. Simmer covered, 25-30 minutes.

Meanwhile add tablespoon salt to boiling water; add macaroni. Cook uncovered, drain. Combine with meat sauce in 2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with cheese on top. Bake uncovered in 375 degree oven 20-30 minutes. Serves 4.
