FRESH APPLE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. oil (or 1 c. butter)
3 c. unpeeled diced apples
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped nuts

GLAZE:

1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cream

Beat sugar, oil and eggs very well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to sugar mixture. Add apples and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 70 minutes in a greased tube or bundt pan. Cool cake in pan. Remove to serving platter.

Cook glaze in a saucepan for 2 1/2 minutes. Pour over cake.
