GRANDMA'S WALDORF SALAD 
1 lg. box Jello (orange or lemon)
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 c. diced, peeled apples
1 c. diced celery
2/3 c. chopped nuts of choice (walnuts, pecans)

Prepare Jello according to package directions. Add vinegar. Allow Jello to chill until semi-soft. Add all remaining ingredients and distribute evenly in Jello. Return Jello to refrigerator. Chill until firm. Serve on a lettuce leaf, if desired.
