2 c. cider vinegar
2 c. water
4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. allspice
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. cloves

Mix together and boil 10 minutes. Pour while boiling hot over cooked beets in the jars. Process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
