PICKLED GLOSSY BEETS | |
4 c. sugar 2 c. vinegar 2 c. water Oil cloves & oil cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. each If not strong enough, use more. This is what makes them glossy. No salt. Boil beets until tender. Cool, slip off the skins and quarter. Boil the syrup for 10 to 15 minutes. Then drop the quartered beets, into the syrup and bring to boil. Pack in jars and seal. |
